Aviara Golf Club:

As part of Park Hyatt Aviara’s continued focus on sustainability, we are excited to share that beginning in April, Aviara Golf Club will embark on a project to re-grass our cool season rough with a warm season Bermuda grass. The new grass will allow for our guests to experience consistent and better playing conditions year-round while reducing water consumption by 20% and will also eliminate the need for us to perform annual over-seeding to our course in early Fall.

During this time, two holes will be closed at a time to complete the work in three week increments. The new grass installed will all be sodded, so the stripped roughs and tees will become new grass quickly as there will be no modifications made to the golf course, all work being done is replacing like for like. Our expected completion date is scheduled for early October. Golfers will still be able to play 18 holes, as our two par 5’s on the back nine will be modified into a short par 4 and par 3 each, thus creating 18 holes of golf.
